>I have a Performance Engines IO-550-N with dual Lightspeed ignition and a B&C SD-20 alternator driven off the pad where a vacuum pump is >normalling installed. It was assembled in this configuration by Ron Monson. I'm not aware that I have any unique hardware to hold the drive >gear in place. There are covers over the magnito pads, and these may have something like the hardware you drew >Paul Bricker I spoke with Ron at Performance engines. They make an extension rod that gets pressed into the open end of the magneto drive gear. It has a bull nose which rides in the inside surface of the magneto cover plate. They also make a block-off plate for the unused vacuum pad and mounting brackets for the LSE coils. The block-off plate is advisable because the vacuum drive adapter has an oil passage that lubricates the drive gear shaft. With the drive gear removed, that oil passage is wide open. Thanks to all for pointing me in the right direction. The parts are now on order. The attached picture shows what the stock magneto drive gear looks like. -Adam Molny
