FWIW it looks like the TruTrak DFC and = DigiFlight series of autopilots have an internal magnetometer. The ADI = Pilot and Sorcerer do not. One comment on the ADI (and ADI Pilot) pitch presentation. While the = ADI's "pitch" information is really VSI (I think somewhere I read it was = gyro stabilized VSI) it does have a feature to help out in the situation = where you're slow and the nose is getting high, even though the = instrument may show the nose below the horizon. Part of the setup is to = program a minimum airspeed into the ADI. Below that speed the ADI will = flash an airspeed warning message. Not a perfect solution, but it might = help.
