Colyn:
I had the same indications early in my 40
hours testing in just the right tank. I replaced the conversion module –
did not help. I talked with the people at EI and they suggested maybe water in
the capacitive probe.
I drained the tank and removed the probe
as far as I could. I did not detect any water in the probe, but I found the
drain hole in the capacitive probe was up instead of down. While the probe was
out, drain hole up, I added some water to the probe and the indications were
very similar to what I was experiencing with the probe in the tank. I marked
the probe and made sure the drain hole was down when reinstalled.
The probe worked after reinstallation and
I have not had a problem since.

Subject: [LML] flaky fuel
indications
long as we're talking electrical problems:
I have ei capacitive fuel probes with princeton converters
and a grt engine monitor (like the chelton engine monitor).
My fuel level on both tanks intermittently shows zero when
flying but never on the ground.
