YES! The tubes are used as stops. Each one is trimmed to the length
necessary. The procedures you are looking for are in a chapter in manual 2
entitled something like final adjustment of landing gear....(or something
like that). Sorry, I don't have the manual in front of me and I'm not in
the mood to trudge out to the shop in the snow before I finish my first cup
of coffee...;). I was kind of thrown by the lack of information about the
gear doors and the gear hydraulics, but after searching the manual I found
the information in manual 2...
