 Jim,

I have a Performance Engines IO-550-Exp in my ES. I've had no problems at
all getting oil pressure. The longest I spent was when I preoiled the engine
by pulling top plugs and spinning it on the starter. It took 8-10 seconds
before pressure came up. Even after several oil / filter changes its never
taken more than a few seconds. I'd guess something is wrong. Have you called
 Ron?

As for horsepower I have the same question you do when running ROP. The
Contenental engine manual doesn't seem relevant with the high compression.
On the other hand, I did get data from APS/GAMI on operation LOP. For 10:1
compression the HP = 16.6 x FF(gph). That is a significant jump from the
14.9 factor for the stock 8.5:1 compression. I'm thinking efficiency in
cruise is another big payoff for this engine.
