Rick
I have a TSIO 550, my engine came with a 24volt primer
I have a 12volt system. I spoke with a number of shops
and was told living in So. Cal. I didn't need it. This solenoid
is suppose to make the engine start in really cold weather.

Next subject. I hope I'm the only one that has done this.
I just finished my Annual and in the process found several
of the leads wires on my ignition harness had rubbed in several place on the fuel injection lines and worn though
the outer cloth cover exposing the shield. In 3 places
where the lead had rubbed against the partition I had made
between the intercooler and the #2 4 1 3 cylinders the  abrasion was bad enough to cause arcing from the lead
to the partition. Thought I would bring it up for something
to look for. Protect those leads where they touch anything.
