Hello LNC2 Builders,
I have just completed the main gear cylinder attach points and have
discovered that if I set the rod end bearings to bottom out the cylinders in
the down position, the up stops are about 1/4" to short to properly set the
retract position.
The manual makes no reference to setting the down stop, but it seems like
continuous pressure on the overcenter link would not be desirable. I located
the cylinder attach points 13.75" from the GM4 location per the manual,
unfortunately I did not check the retract and down stops prior to building
the attach points.
Has anyone else experienced problems in this area ?
Is it important to set both the down and retract stop positions ?
Where could one obtain a redesigned up stop ?
Thanks for any advise,
Thomas Reed
