Last weekend I flew from Ohio to Oregon and enroute had the opportunity to flex some new muscles: my very slick heated leading edge de-ice system. 

After 6+ months of development on my ES-P (and on other aircraft), the RDD Enterprises/Kelly Aerospace (nee Northcoast) de-ice system is ready for prime time.  RDD Enterprises will be sending out a press release next week announcing advances made during a collaborative effort with RDD and Kelly Thermal Systems on further refinement of the Thermawing technology and specifically as it applies to real (i.e. experimental) airplanes. Thru these developments the performance has been increased while the price has actually decreased!

 The new retail price of the Therm-X system is less than $19k for the Lancair IVP and less than $18k for the Lancair ES and ES-P, a significant price reduction from their introduction price.  For a limited time RDD is offering the Ice Season Special "17w17":  Now through November first or to the first 17 customers they are offering the Therm-X system to everyone (ES/P or IVP) at $17K.

Installation will be done at both RDD in Redmond and at their Northeast partners, Goodrich Aviation.  Call now for info and scheduling, and avoid the season rush!
