While I'm aware of the advisory about quoting verbage in its entirety, I thought it appropriate in this case as an authorative source is being quoted. These are direct responses from Bendix King in response to my email inquiry. Build and fly safely, hope this helps...Jeffrey B. Chipetine To: bendixking@alliedsignal.com Subject: HandHeld Com radio splitter Good Folks, I would like to see if a "splitter" is available from King that would allow me to connect my backup Handheld com radio output to my aircraft's external antenna, while still allowing my regular panel mounted Kx-155 com to function normally. My plan would be to mount the splitter and have a pigtail lead coiled under the panel ready to go onto my Hand-Held com if needed. I am obviously concerned about the output of the Hand held backup "backfeeding" into the panel mounted KX-155 and frying the output circuitry. I am a member of your club and would appreciate your earliest possible response addressing these issues. Thanks in advance....Jeffrey B. JBC (thats me) Mr. Wunder, thanks for the quick response.I guess my next question is if this will work with my KX155? I would hate to use my HandHeld and find out that I had,in the process, caused damage to my panel mounted King radios. (PS, I only had them installed last month and I NEED them to last a LONG time!)....Jeffrey B. Chipetine Wunder, Dustin G. wrote: The splitter will work with the KX155 with no problem Dustin G.
