Jim, I mentioned in the original scenario that the weather in Portland was
5400 broken (no overcast layer) The facts were all accurate except the
overcast tops en route went to about 23,000' instead of the theoretical
29,000 and the freezing level @PDX was 5,000. In actuality I was able to
safely land @ PDX, but I did have sufficient fuel on board to return to VFR
