Colyn,

I know there is more, but for your own information, try this:

Then go look at some of the Stats.  It is mind boggling.  There are few GA (biz jets) craft in that mix.  If you can, consider MDY operation too.

Then look at some of the relievers, RFD, ARR, PWK, DPA (don't look at Gary, IN - it is handling the military aircraft for the Chicago air and water show this weekend).

Not enough gates, not enough concrete, over scheduling during prime time (uh, why try for one of the 100 flights from ORD to NY at 9 am, why not one at 3 am, no crowding, taxis available, hotels not busy........).  Is it sleepy pilots?

During regulation, people paid what it cost to get from A to B.  Now it is just a shell game.  Some pay too much, many pay too little.  I think the airlines should call Greyhound or AmTrak for their scheduling logic.  People have different expectations for those modes of travel.

It is no wonder that Business people use corporate aircraft, charters, etc.  Combine constant delays, lack of connections to non-major hubs, TSA screening, arrival and departure (aircraft and ground) hassles and it just doesn't make sense.

The radius of the circle around ones house for making the drive or fly commercial decision is getting bigger every month with drive being selected more often.

Companies that locate themselves in rural America (fly over country) can't afford the waste of time created by airlines refusal to re-evaluate the hub and spoke system - it is badly broken.

Arrrrrggghh........
