I think the airlines should call Greyhound or AmTrak for their scheduling logic. People have different expectations for those modes of travel. It is no wonder that Business people use corporate aircraft, charters, etc. Combine constant delays, lack of connections to non-major hubs, TSA screening, arrival and departure (aircraft and ground) hassles and it just doesn't make sense. The radius of the circle around ones house for making the drive or fly commercial decision is getting bigger every month with drive being selected more often. Companies that locate themselves in rural America (fly over country) can't afford the waste of time created by airlines refusal to re-evaluate the hub and spoke system - it is badly broken.
