Walter,
Well, I started building a Lancair before I took my first
flight lesson. Thank heavens it was a slow build 320 that took 7
years - By the time I took the wee Lancair flying I had accumulated 800 hours
(600 in a Skymaster), had a Commercial, Instrument and Multi rating to
boot. Didn't matter much as I have worked my way thru 6 prop blades
during certain landing and taxi experiments (Hmmmm, no problems with
takeoffs to date).
However, I do wonder about how the fast built (less than a year with
builder's assistance), high performance, retractable gear TAA
kit-craft pilot can survive after training in a 152.
Just a poser for us navel lint pickers......
