X-Original-To: "Lancair Mailing List" Jeremy: I would like to "lock in an RMA" (what does that mean?) to upgrade my Garmin GNS 430 at the $1,500 price. I am not really in a position to have this done immediately because I can't fit it into my schedule, but you probably have the same problem. Early Spring would work for me -- sometime when the weather is good enough to get over there from Orcas Island, WA. How quickly can you do that work? In other words, do I have to leave the airplane? It is quite complicated and expensive to get back to Orcas Island from Redmond without the airplane, and just as bad to go get it later. My airplane is a Legacy with a two-screen Chelton all-electric panel built by Lancair Avionics. The GPS antennas are in the left wingtip. Let me know what I need to do to firm this up. Thanks. Currently the fee is $1500, but effective 1 September 2007, it will be $2995. If we lock in an RMA by August 31, 2007 the WAAS upgrade can be completed anytime between now and May 31, 2008 at the current price. To fully integrate this change you will also have to change the antenna (new one comes with the upgrade) and use a predetermined length of RG-400 coax which may or may not already be in your aircraft.=20 =20 As your Garmin Authorized Dealer, Lancair Avionics urges Garmin 430/530 users who have not had their units upgraded to contact us right away to enjoy significant savings on the WAAS upgrade. =20 Jeremy M.
