I am finishing off inside my wings.  I am using Dan Schaefer's idea of
running the fuel vent line through the wing from the tip to the root and
then down through the lower wing skin. .  As I am going to run the fuel
lines from the wing tanks direct to the engine in 3/8" tubing, can anyone
tell me if a 1/4" vent will be sufficient?  I really don't want to use 3/8"
if possible, but am unsure if a 1/4" vent could restrict fuel flow at full
power.  Actually I have already fitted a 1/4" vent in one wing (act first,
think later), but could add a second one in parallel if necessary.

Secondly I spoke to Orin at the factory about how to run the push rod from
the aileron bellcrank to the aileron, since this seems to be omitted from
the instructions.  He advised me to mount the brackets as low as possible on
the aileron (i.e. closer to the hinge line) to increase the control
response.  I assume this would mean butting the brackets up against the edge
of the hinge.  However I am concerned that this will increase the stick
forces and change the control balance.  Has anyone tried this and how well
did it work?  If noone else has tried it, I think I will stick to the
drawings, but I am reluctant to ignore factory advice.

I would be grateful for any advice, since it will be too late once that
lower skin is on!
