I's available for inspection! The world's very first Lancair ES-P (pressurized) has been flying for the past year during which a host of fine-tuning has been done. This aircraft, N301ES,is the first of its kind and it embodies the newest technologies available to general aviation. The basic construction is graphite/epoxy composite with integral metallized graphite ground planes. The engine is a twin-turbo Teledyne Continental TSIO550 fitted with dual LightSpeed electronic ignition. Prop is 4-blade full-feathering composite by MT. The primary instrumenation is a 3-screen Chelton flight system and TruTrak Sorcerer autopilot. The aircraft is pressurized to 5.5 PSI allowing operation in the flight levels with no supplemental oxygen, and it is air conditioned. Mounted to the wings, horizontal stab and prop is RDD/Kelly Aerospace Therm-X heated leading edge de-ice system, and embedded in the wings are pulsing HID Xenon lights. The paint scheme is by Scheme Designers and the painting itself by Sturgis Aviation. There is much more - see the attached PDF. The plane is coming out of the paint shop today and will be at Airventure starting Sunday July 22. Stop by and see this beauty on display at the Kelly Aerospace Booth "Combo K" at the southeast corner of exhibit hanger C. Robert M. Simon Builder/owner/pilot Robert M.
