I used a standard side lever grease gun, filled with hydraulic fluid and connected to the system via a hose and non return valve. I also incorporated a pressure gauge. It worked a treat if a little messily as the grease gun reservoir is designed for grease not fluid. I primed the lines and operated the gear and doors with it. Never had a leak or an air lock.
