I followed a suggestion from Paul Lipps and installed a spring
connecting the flap actuator to the elevator pushrod. In the
235 airframe this is easy because the flap actuator lies alongside
the elevator pushrod. In a 320/360, the installation would be
a little more complex.

Nice.  Does it override the already set trim spring or actually move the trim wheel?

 

The Skymaster has an arrangement where "flaps up"  takes the elevator trim out also.  If I remember right, it is in the right boom - a sort of cable slider that causes the trim wheel to rotate.  Good for the go-around.  The elevator had trim tabs that were mechanically cable operated by a giant trim wheel.

 

There is a solution to every problem.  Some require human intervention.
