To all who attended...thank you so much for coming and supporting our own
Golden West EAA Regional Fly-In.

We proved LANCAIRS rule!

I can't thank Don Barnes enough for his fantastic artwork on the
posters/program for Golden West both last year and this year. He's truly
one great guy!

I am happy to announce. .....drum roll please....THE WINNERS OF THE LANCAIR
EXCLUSIVE DRAWING ARE:

Pam & Paul Tackabury -- $100 Gift Certificate from Kit Components

Jim Thomas - Lancair Polo Shirt

Mike Salzman - Lancair Cap

And in the GOLDEN WEST/EAA MEMBERS' DRAWINGS:

Dennis & Janice Johnson with their newly flying Legacy also won...another
drum roll please... season reserved seating/reserved parking & pit passes
for 2 to this year's RENO AIR RACES. They were there 3 days volunteering
full time. Thanks for your support, Dennis & Janice.

I hope those who couldn't make it this year will join us next year. We were
well represented in the Reno Race Sport Class arena as well with four
Legacys. Other Sport Class participants were a Thunder Mustang; a
Swearingen 300 SX, several Glasair III's, and Relentless NXT. Great fun to
watch these guys roar around the pattern. They'll be back next year.

Mike Melville's talk Saturday night at the banquet was without doubt the
best aviation talk Steve and I have ever heard. This from two people who
have attended Oshkosh every year since 1983 for the entire week! He had
time to fully tell the story of getting SpaceShip One ready as well as his
own preparations and training including some great anecdotes from other test
flights with Burt Rutan's designs. Everything was power point presentation
or video w/sound. The best part was Mike's manner of making you feel as
though you were sitting across the dinner table from him listening to a
story. He and Sally are both such invaluable assets to the general aviation
community. I wish you all could have heard it.

Thank you again...Claudette Colwell
