You should imagine how unresponsive the Manager of Roberts Field - KRDM is. The State Aviation and Governor's office does squat, other state's value the employment base more highly. It is a competitive market. Sorry it is happening without one last Redmond picnic. John Cox -----Original Message----- From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Tom Thibault Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 5:32 PM To: lml@lancaironline.net Subject: [LML] Re: Changes to the annual fly-in Art, Yes I remember that well, and I stood up and said that we all appreciated the effort and expense the company puts out, hoped it would remain yearly and that I would be willing to pay something if money was the problem. It is also easy to understand that some attendees want a more central location but having it at least "near" the factory is one of the huge draws for me. It is nice to be able to interact with the employees, see what is happening in the building, buy some parts/accessories etc. My wife and I also had vacation arrangements to go to Seattle just before the fly-in, that we have to re-think now. The other important question is, Will the company be moving to Texas or anywhere else? Joe, what is happening with this move talk? Tom Thibault Art wrote: if you remember last there was a suggestion to make it every 2 years. I can understand the desire to make the event more central and possible to move it around, however if there where going to be a change it would have been more considerate to announce it at the fly-in. I have made vacation plan around the Redmond, OR area for the beginning of Sept.. Joe if you where going to disregard the response of the assemble of last years fly-in why take a vote. -- For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.html
