I can answer for him on that one it is a certified engine used in a aero
commander I think. It is not certified now because of the oil pan made for
the
Lancair. I did the test flights on this plane in Ca and it is now in Fl.
Strong engine just needs a diffferent cowling for cooling on the lancair, it
has
the exhaust coming out the tope of the cylinders instead of the bottom. Ron
