Hi gang,

Just a couple quick things....

I know I haven't announced any new additions to the Equipment Manuals area of the LML website recently... I managed to get myself a little bogged down and simply haven't had the ability to open all the manuals that have been sent in order to ascertain version numbers, revision dates, and then do all the renaming, zipping, uploading, and webpage coding that needs to be done.  I haven't forgotten about it, and I'll be getting back to it shortly.

On a similar note, I asked that anyone who has an award winning Lancair get in touch with me, send along some details about your airplane, tell us what awards you've taken with it, and to include some pictures so everyone can oooh and aaaah as required.  I've been fiddling with some different layouts for the page, have it pretty much nailed down and should have it available for consumption one day soon.   Please hang in there.

Back in March we had a terrific discussion about what functions belonged on a set of Infinity stick grips.  I've been digging through the archives, have gathered just about all of it together into a new LML webpage, and have uploaded it for viewing.  If you go to the LML website (http://www.lancaironline.net/maillist.html) and click on the "Select Discussions" menu item in the Attachments area, you'll find the link to it at the bottom of the page.  There appear to be some messages missing, as I remember posting an email later in the discussion in which I revised my suggested guidelines to help with the decision-making process.  That and its follow up emails seem to have disappeared.  Hopefully I'll figure out where they went and get the last of the discussion added to the page so it can be considered complete.

While I'm on the topic of discussions, there aren't all that many that I've pulled together for that area.... my bad.  I guarantee you, though, that it isn't for lack of subject material.  If you go to the Archives you'll see that there are almost 20,000 messages indexed.  Those 20k messages only take us back to 1/1/2004.  There are an additional 22,000 messages that are basically unavailable for public consumption, sitting in the back room, and those go back to 9/1/98.  There are probably another 1500-2000 that pre-date those, so we've managed to generate almost 44,000 messages since the LML was started.  Pretty amazing statistic (at least to me... I've read every one of them!)  All in all, it just goes to confirm that this community spends an incredible amount of time sharing information and support among its members.  Kudos to all of you for your unselfish participation... you guys (and gals) are the best!

Last thing... when you open the Infinity page you'll notice a new LML logo at the top.  I wish I could take credit for it, but, unfortunately, I can't.  I mentioned that I'd like a new logo to Don Barnes and the next thing I knew he came up with this one.  As is obviously apparent, Don is one heckuva graphic artist, has a great imagination and the ability to illustrate the essence of an organization in a striking visual manner.  If you own your own company or have an entity that needs this kind of work done (Don's websites are awesome!) you should drop him an email and discuss your needs.  You'd have to go a long way to find a more capable artist and designer.  You can reach him at don@cellarideas.com.  Thanks for the great job, Don.
