Well, I would feel better doing all that if I were a fellow Lancairian, and a 320 especially. As an outsider I feel I should behave a little.

I'm sorry about Larry's misfortune. It looks like it will be a Lancair-free race, which doesn't seem right, since they claim to be the fastest (been doing OK at Reno).

John,

What's this - unnecessary PC?

You may think you have gone too far but you still didn't go there _fast_ enough.

Most races are subject to a predictable trash-talk schedule:

Before the race:  Boasting, lying, misrepresenting capabilities, excessive taunting and other anti-social behaviors usually conducted at a bar the night before or over the internet for weeks before the race.

During the race: Poor use of the race frequency by misrepresenting winds aloft, false position reporting, yelling Whee! when passing, etc.

After the race: Whining, complaining, making excuses (Cub's motto - Wait'll next year!) and other goofy claims, usually made at a bar and later made over the internet.

The only thing you should ever apologize for is not running WOT and max RPM.

Grayhawk
PS: Trash talk is encouraged.
