Well, It appears so. According to my excel database of ES owners Gene and Rick Woltjer are partners in the airplane. They both were listed as builders. The news article reports both were on board and they both survived but were apparently burned and flown via helicopter to a burn center. Rick’s wife apparently did not survive.

Kit S/N 102 N349RF based in Willmar, MN.

So sad. I wish them the best in this very tough time.
