X-Original-Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2007 13:10:57 -0400 X-Original-To: Lancair List X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.752.3) I have an O-320-D1F from Lancair and the governor is in the front. The D1F has dynafocal type 1 engine mounts, the A1A has different mounts. What kind of engine mounts does your short Lancair mount require. You probably should look at the "Certificated Aircraft Engines" publication number SSB-204 dated February 2004 by Lycoming. You can find this document at: http://www.lycoming.com/support/troubleshooting/resources/ SSP204.pdf An MT electric constant speed prop might be a consideration. I would like to have many things on my plane but I have to always remind myself: "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.". > From: "N320GG" > > My 320 has the short engine mount which required the dog bowl cut > into the firewall to allow room for the prop governor. > > Gary Melton > N320GG LNC2 700 hours > > ----- Original Message ----- From: "bob mackey" > >>> Terrence asks: >>> >>> >>>> Has anyone converted a 320 from fixed pitch to constant speed >>>> props? >>>> If so, what's needed? >>>> >> >> The Lycoming publication is Service Instruction 1435. >> I didn't find it online. -- Lorn H.
