The bracket was deformed, the push-pull tube action had literally pulled the unsupported bracket away from the aileron . ONe more thing to check as breaking this bracket, will result in loosing control of the aileron for a really bad day... Am replacing both left and right brackets with 1" steel angle iron.... Don, Remember to re-balance the ailerons after replacing the bracket with heavier steel ones. Do you usually park outside? Is it possible that the bracket was deformed by the ailerons banging around during high winds while parked?
