Had play in my left inboard ailerorn hinge,, replaced the 0.088" pin with a 0.092" and hinge tight, but still had play. All rod-end bearings and bolts were ok, but the "L" shaped bracket that attaches to the aileron itself with two AN-3 bolts (they were tight) actually had been pulled away from the aileron near the web of the bracket, about 0.010" or so. The bracket was deformed, the push-pull tube action had literally pulled the unsupported bracket away from the aileron . ONe more thing to check as breaking this bracket, will result in loosing control of the aileron for a really bad day... Am replacing both left and right brackets with 1" steel angle iron....Don Skeele N320J
