I am a Legacy builder and I have read the
LNC2 hydraulic
issues for years. It seems the dump valve in
these
planes just connects the up side to the down
side.
This has lead in some cases to gear locked
up.
The dump valve in the Legacy connects
both up and down
circuits to a third return circuit which can
only be the
pressure of the reservior. This seems much
safer and
should be relatively easy to install in the
earlier model
since the return circuit holds no pressure
and could be
rubber hose (or even the hated
nyaflow).
