Start with less oil?  Seriously, I rarely have more than 10 qts on the dip stick on the IO-520 in my C206 because it does the same thing.

I am getting oil on the belly of my Continental IO-500 powered Legacy.  When I shut down after a flight,
the breather tube makes a mess on the ground.  Often it will leave a spot of oil on the ground roughly the
size of half of a dollar bill.  Before I install an air-oil separator, is there anything that can be done to decrease the
amount of oil coming out of the breather tube.  The end of the tube is located approximately 3 "above the
exhaust.  It seems well out of the slipstream.
