So I tried Avemco and they did offer coverage for $7, 094, 1M, 100K, 300K
hull.

The insurance cost, with Avemco, for my Cessna 340 insured for $400,000 was $10,000 per year. They also required annual SimCom training. The rates were higher but dropped 10% at 150 hours in type and another 10% at 200 hours. Make sure that you tell them an the day you hit the 150 and 200 hour mark if these discounts apply to you.
$7,000 for the Columbia, insured for $300,000 sounds about right. That is what insurance costs today.
