John,
Story that I hear is that it is a communication language problem and not
a wiring problem. Only the SL-30 works. UPS was working to do that
with the GNS480 (which has the SL30 nav board in it) but after the
takeover Garmin never followed up on it.

What other radios will the Chelton autoload freq's to? I know that the
SL-30 can take them from some EFIS's. It is a RS 232 serial connection
and I know the 480 has several of these. It might be just a wire or
three missing from the bundle.
Cheers,
John

except for the dummies who opted for the 480.
