I had the same problem when rigging my flaps
the first time and to cut a long story short I set the bellcrank up to
show it was a half a hole out of alignment them I digitally photographed it
and sent it to Lancair and they agreed that there was a problem. Then it was
discovered that a pair of bellcranks form a different model
lancair had been supplied.
lancair were very helpful and sent me the correct
pair and it works great know.
(just a comment, I did find that with
the wrong bellcranks installed and with all the bolts siting in there holes and
left loose I could push it through its travel and it would bind slightly in
the same place you describe, but when I tightened all the bolts it would
not push through its travel without extreme binding, which is not
acceptable.)
