What are the problems and who are those Lancair drivers? To quote "with a few more fast movers we have a chance to get these problems fixed once and for all." What problems? What "continuous troubles"? Names, details would be helpful instead of broad generalization. Let's hear some useful details from Dave Link? Your continuing complaints with TT seems at odds with my personal TT experience (anecdotal that it is) but also numerous other posters as well. Why are you special? I understand that TT says this may be an installation problem. My question is, how do you know that it is NOT an installation problem? The airplane flew for the first time in August 2007 and has accumulated over 100 hrs. since then. I live in Cloudcroft, NM and fly out of KALM. On a recent visit to North Las Vegas airport I met David Link and Martin Heisler who gave me a tour of their recent projects and helped to do some engine tweaking on my supercharged F1 ( www.teamrocketaircraft.com ) Talking airplane and avionics specifically the subject of autopilots and continuous trouble with the performance of my TruTrak Sorcerer came up. After describing some of the reoccurring vertical and roll steering problems Dave Link mentioned that unreliable/unpredictable performance of TTs units is a problem the Lancair community has encountered too. My repeated attempts to solve the problems together with Trutrak have been to no avail. Everybody at TT has been extremely supportive but the blame for most of my problems has been pushed primarily towards my installation. I started discussions on the F1 Rocket list (www.teamrocketaircraft.co/forum ) and pretty much from the start it was apparent that I was not the only one who has "unexplainable problems". So today I would like to ask you to chime in and maybe the two groups together can shed more light into the darkness and get TruTrak to the point that they fix these ongoing problems. What I am specifically interested in is: 1. What TT unit do you use? 2. What problems did you encounter? 3. Under what conditions do the problems occur? 4. What fix did TT offer? 5. Did the fix work? The Teamrocket community has turned the heat up a notch for TruTrak and I am sure if we can get together with a few more fast movers we have a chance to get these problems fixed once and for all. Please visit our builders/owners forum at www.teamrocketaircraft.com/forum and checkout the AUTOPILOT topics or contact me at mw104@netmdc.com . Cheers Wolfgang Meyn
