It's mid-winter and as we go into Spring icing conditions will continue. The good folks at RDD have finished poking and probing and drilling and filling, and ES-P N301ES is now outfitted with hot boots to ward off old man winter's worst. Although not meant for flight into known icing the RDD system does something that the Cirrus system (BRS) does not do - it lets you fly the same plane again! Mine is the first Lancair installation and it looks wonderful. It also works. Hot boots on the wings, HS, and on my 4-blade MT prop. It's powered by a 100a 75v alternator that in warmer climes will also run the air conditioner. Promo info attached, Robert M. I've saved off the file and will make it available on the website tomorrow. Location to be announced. ]
