My plane just came out of phase 1. We did get it to
stall straight ahead +/- 5 degrees of roll, and with stall strips it gives a
good buffet. However, to accomplish this, we have the strips pointed
almost half an inch above the center of the leading edge. That also
appears to add a lot to stall speed, maybe as much as 10 knots.
Questions for those of you that have stall
strips:
1) did you get your plane to stall straight
ahead?
2) did you have to set your strips high? how
much?
3) what were your with/without stall speeds clean
and dirty?
