necessary. Hey everyone is looking for a good airplane salvage. The
parts and radios could possibly be used.
This brought to mind a story a friend of mine tells, it involves stupid pilots also:
My friend (the RV builder) was invited on a flight to a local back country strip by a friend of his
(the pilot) who had just attended a back country flight course and wanted to
show off his skills. Landing was uneventfule but on takeoff the pilot pulled the plane
off the runway to soon and it mushed toward the trees. The pilot pointed the plane toward
an adjacent gravel road and the builder organized his last thoughts.
Fortunately the airplane went between two tress which sheared off the wings and as the
fuselage groung to a halt on the gravel road the builders eyes turned to the panel and
he thought "That is a good radio and transponder...."
