It's because I am forced to remove excessive quotebacks from your posts. If any of the posts on the LML with my name in the "from" box have a "posted for [insert your name here]" at the top, please think about what you're doing before you hit the send button. Replies to the original message sent regarding the Rieff heaters is a good example... that message included a couple of images regarding pricing and descriptions of the units, obviously pasted in from the company's website. Just about all the replies to that message have included the entire original post, which we've all seen. That original post is over 200k due to those images. Every time you quote them back you force all of the LML subscribers to have to re-download all that data which has come before, really slowing things down for dial-up subscribers. Every requote of that post also consumes another 200+k on the server, and while storage has become less expensive in the recent past it doesn't mean we have to consume it needlessly. Less expensive doesn't equal cheap and it certainly doesn't equal free. I've said it many times in the past and suppose I'll have to say it again in the future, but we dont' need to read the same things over and over and over. If you're replying to a message in general, don't quote back any of it... we all know what you're talking about. If you're addressing a single point in a prior message, please select that portion you're referring to, surround it with double or triple quotes so we know it's quoted content, and delete the rest of the original post. Please remove all the headers from the original posts, as well as the LML-specific footers at the bottom. I don't mind managing the LML, it's what I've done for the past 10 years so I must enjoy it. What I don't enjoy is having to spend so much of my time doing things that I've asked for cooperation with so many times in the past. So, if your name is in any of the "posted for..." headings on recent LML messages, please compare what showed up on The List to what you originally sent, and you should get a pretty good idea of what was removed and why. Come on, guys, a little assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
