Two reasons:
 
1.) Head snapping back on impact is a major cause of neck trauma.
 
2.) Wifey likes to nap on long flights.  Lancair's new seats recline like a StratoLounger.

The Oregon seats that I tested were very comfortable, but I opted for a contoured graphite shell, thin padding, and electric seat heaters.  These shells fit the new Lancair seat frames perfectly.  Photos attached.
