Uh, maybe AOA contributes something to lift, maybe. As to props that look like wings - it is interesting to see the thrust/air flow 90 degrees to the plane (geometric) of the rotating prop. I was going to say "as it screwed its way thru the air" but I realized that the electric fan in my hangar is not screwing anything.
