 Respectfully, I think you lost sight of the fact that this is happening
 in climb, at climb power, through 10000'.  The point that the boost pump
 is turned on.  And a flight condition requiring climb power, and full
 rich mixture. At this point the EGT is at least 180dF rich. Once cruise
 is established then LOP is the procedure.
