The value of the list is it expands the possibilities, if not certainty.
Every day, we get multiple opinions and occassionaly conflicting facts.
We get to receive, sort, noddle and analyze this brown pile of input
until we find a set of opinions and facts that coincide with our
experience and intuition, and we adopt them.
The list is much like a watch. If you have only one, you know exactly
what time it is, but if you have several watches, you're never quite
sure.
