For John Hafen:
I found that handles on the inside of the plane are necessary; especially if you want to adjust the seats without tugging on the instrument panel. A trip to the local salvage yard gives a pretty good choice of color and size and they are prety easy to install.
If you have installed the retractable step, I doubt that you will need an external handle to board the plane. Right foot on the step, right hand on the door opening, left foot on the wing, and you step right into the plane. I tried boarding the plane today, looking for somewhere a handle would make it easier, and it just didnt happen. If an old geezer like me doesnt need help, I doubt that you will. Besides, the lines of the plane are too pretty to spoil by hanging hardware on it. Thats why they made the boarding step retractable.......Right???????
