Dan asks;

Anyway, is anyone having any luck with an altitude switch/light which acts as a reminder to turn the low boost pump on when climbing above 10,000 feet and turn it off when decending below 10,000 feet?

Thanks,

Yes, I have had one installed for 4 yrs now. It works perfect, like it reminds me to do the obvious. I installed it after climbing IFR and while on top climbing through 17K the engine started to surge badly to the point where I had to pull power back to about 15 in. Looked for a hole in the undercast and I was looking for a place to land then I went over all engine gauges and discovered the Low Boost wasn't on. That light has been invaluable since.  I never forget it now. I had Lancair Avionics install one. I think it was designed/made by Brent Regan?
