Thoughts on managing fire risks? My thoughts: a) frequent inspection of all fuel and oil lines. b) fire detection: In my airplane I put 6 cht probes around the engine compartment and hooked them up to an old jpi. c) reach for the fuel cutoff early. d) what to do about oil system? is any kind of shutoff practical? e) if you have fire suppression, apply only after (b) and (c) f) throw out the speed brakes AND the gear (kiss your gear door good bye) and spiral down
