I think Pinpoint's anonymity has made folks
nervous. If you have questions about Chelton's products you can email
them and expect a response, or get someone on the phone. The same applies
to Crossbow and pretty much every other avionics/instrumentation provider out
there. Not so with Pinpoint. They don't respond to email (at
least not to mine) and I've yet to see a phone number or address for
them.
Now if Chelton ends up being the source for
procuring Pinpoint product, stands behind the product and supports it,
which I'm sure they'll do if they offer it, then who's behind Pinpoint
becomes less of an issue. Still, inquiring minds would like to
know.
