You never hit the “equals” button on the Excel spreadsheet you have been keeping and never, ever, tell her no, she can’t have a new outfit or yet another haircut because you can’t afford it.  You also let her choose some places to travel to that she has always wanted to see and tell her you will give her a ride in your beautiful chariot.
