Brent: The answer to your second question is No. The Pinpoint has a remote magnetometer, an integral air data computer, an OAT system and ARINC 429 outputs on both the ADC and the AHRS. Both have integral GPS, although the Pinpoint can be configured without it. I am not nearly as familiar with EFISs as you are. The thrust of my question was - What additional items will I need to purchase/install to come up with a fully functioning system in each case. I would then add those items to the cost of the "naked" AHARS to come up with a true "apples to apples" cost comparison. From your answer I would assume that in addition to the Crossbow 425EX, I would need to purchase a magnetometer, air data computer and OAT system to make this an "apples to apples" comparison. Is this correct, or are any of the above elements included in/with the Crossbow? (Don't mean to put you on the spot, this is something that I may need to find out from Crossbow) By the way, my panel will have an EI MVP50 which may provide some of the above elements. D. Brunner
