Just had the same situation with a GM SUV. My daughter brought it in
for service beyond the warrenty period and the dealer told her she'd
have to pay for the work. I suggested she tell the dealer that the GM
regional rep would authorize the work and he'd best make that call to
the rep. Within 2 hours the dealer called back and said that everything
would be covered. GM knows sales are made by a company's good name, not
by adherence to policy. I'll wager Chelton knows that too.
