I have a Walter 601E engine and the so-called 'small' Lamar MCU now
being sold by Lancair on my LIVPT.  I have about 100 hrs on the plane
so far and I've had an intermittent problem getting the generator to
come on-line.  When this happens, if I toggle the Generator Switch (and
the Generator CB, in either order) enough times (as much as 50), the
generator will (usually) eventually work.  I've had the problem in
summer and winter, but the occurrence seems greater in winter.  

I've run some wires out to the appropriate generator control pins on
the Lamar box so I can get some diagnostic data the next time it fails.
 At this point, it could be Lamar box control wiring, the Lamar box
itself, or the starter-generator.

Has anyone had a similar problem?  ...Clark Still (N750S, KPOU)
