My original dump valve failed in a different way and it left quite a
mess. Internally there was a small O-ring on the shaft for the handle.
That O-ring was being extruded out of the valve between the shaft and
housing. It got pretty shredded in the process. Every time the dump
valve was actuated a drop of hydraulic fluid could be found outside the
housing hanging from the shaft. Over the span of a year, between
annuals, the back side of my upholstery got soaked with 5606.
Ironically, the high pressure replacement from Lancair had an internal
leak in one direction. Replacement #2 from a local Parker dealer solved
that problem.
